Brewers Grab 1st Place for the 2010 Playoffs With 2 Wins on Final Weekend of the Regular Season
With wins over the Bullfrogs and Bandits the Brewers moved to 17-1 to end the regular season heading into the playoffs with the number one seed behind 2 complete games from Brewers pitchers. Top performers on the day were Moran (POTW) Getting his 6th win of the season against the Bandits going 8 innings giving up 2 runs, 4 hits and striking out 13 and going 3 for 8 at the plate with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's, F. Vaughn was 5 for 10 with 3 doubles, Goldberg was 4 for 9 , Cortez was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, Wood was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, and Meals was 3 for 5 with a double.
The 2010 Playoffs kick off the Sunday August 1st. The Brewers will take on the Charros at 9am at Harrison High School. This is a big re-match for the Brewers with the Charros handing the Brewers their only loss of the regular season.
