2010 Season Update
The Brewers will be beginning our team workouts here in the next few weeks. If you're on the Brewers roster or contacted us via the site to try to make the team, we'll be contacting you via text, e-mail and phone calls.
League Tryouts - The league will be holding open tryouts on Sunday February 28th. Time and location is yet to be determined.
Season Opener - The 2010 NABA season will kick off on Sunday March 28th.
League Ideas Up For Vote - There will be a Managers meeting on February 21st where we will be voting on such things as weeknight games and restructuring of the playoffs.
Nick McCann
Nick McCann is getting out of the Army and moving back to Illinois. Nick was overwhelmingly voted the teams 2009 MVP and set a high standard for future Brewers pitchers. In 2009 when people talked about our team they always talked about 3 thing... 1.) Our potent offense 2.) How hard Tom throws and 3.) How no one wanted to face Nick. Nick pitched 4 classic games this past season. The first was the first game we played as the Brewers when we beat the defending champion Demons in extra innings. The second was also against the Demons when we won a 1-0 game pitted agains Rob Wines. Third was the regular season Championship at the stadium once again facing off against Wines, but this time with the Bombers with the Brewers squeaking out a 4-3 win. The Final game was his first loss of the season against the L.A. Bruins in Phoenix for the 2009 NABA World Series. Even though the Brewers lost, Nick only gave up 3 earned runs, struck out 9 and broke 9 bats. Opening a lot of eyes of several pro players who were on the Bruins roster. We'll miss Nick not only on the mound but also off the field being one of the most dynamic personalities with a great team first attitude. We wish him luck in Illinois and he is planning on joining us this season as we plan to return to Phoenix for the 2010 NABA World Series.
2010 Tournaments
We're sill planning on playing in regional tournaments and the World Series in 2010. More info on this topic will be coming.
